Belknap Covered Bridge

Belknap spans the McKenzie River. It was built in 1966 and is the fourth bridge at this location. The previous bridges were constructed in 1890, 1911, and 1938 (1985, p. 206). The 120-foot Howe truss is located near Rainbow, Oregon.

What a beautiful bridge.

The sounds of the McKenzie River moving over rocks and the thump-thump-thump of a car traveling over the wood floor beams and stringers.
