Crawfordsville Covered Bridge

Crawfordsville Covered Bridge was built in 1932.

It is closed for traffic and would make an excellent picnic location. The bridge spans the Calapooia River which makes the most amazing sound as it meanders over the river bed. Be prepared to take a recording of the calming sound.

There is a Crawfordsville Covered Bridge Facebook page which updates followers on the annual event.

Unfortunately, I only captured three images of Crawfordsville Covered Bridge. Prior to becoming a park, the state squared “the original semi-circular portal openings to allow larger loads” (2013, p. 171).

There may, or may not, be a Bridge Day festival in August at the Oregon Crawfordsville Covered Bridge. The one in Indiana seems to have more Google searches. There is a Crawfordsville Covered Bridge page on Facebook which appears to be updated annually.
