Dorena Covered Bridge

Image 2/18/23 Nikon Z5 10 - 24 mm lens

Dorena Covered Bridge, also known as Star Bridge, spans Row River. It was built in 1949. The bridge was listed on the National Historic Register in 1979.

Dorena Covered Bridge is a photographer’s dream. The bridge is open, but the trip across is purely for joy. Once across the bridge, a driver must immediately turn-around. This allows the visitor the joy of slowly driving across and hearing the thump-thump-thump of tires.

I brought my 10 - 24 mm lens but wish I had my 18 - 55 mm with Sunpak +4 close up filter. This bridge allows a photographer the gift of time. The close up filters would have been a fun asset on this trip.

There is a rough trail to explore under the bridge. Please note: the rock formations can be slippery.

I am working on my video skills. Enjoy this short clip of the creek.
