Horse Creek - Myrtle Creek

Horse Creek Covered Bridge 1930

Horse Creek Covered Bridge is nestled in Millsite Park in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. The bridge was located on Horse Creek County Road in Lane County near Belknap Covered Bridge.

Constructed - 1930

Closed to traffic - 1968

Relocated to Myrtle Creek - 1990

Each bridge offers something different and unique. Bridges that have been relocated typically recognize donors on brick paths leading to the covered bridge. Horse Creek/Myrtle Creek honors their donors on the roof. The names surrounded by the Howe truss was bridge perfection.

Cheyenne Renee Mural

#50in50project

My quest to capture all of Oregon’s covered bridges intersected with Cheyenne Renee’s quest to paint murals in all 50 states. The Myrtle Creek mural is number 24 on her quest.

Her goal is to “paint a mural in 50 small towns across all 50 states by the end of 2025. Highlighting areas that value scenic beauty and small businesses.”

Cheyenne’s journey can be found on her website and Facebook.
