Pass Creek
There are conflicting reports on the origins of Pass Creek Covered Bridge. According to the Oregon Encyclopedia, it is possible that Pass Creek was built in 1906 and refurbished in 1925.
If the bridge was originally built in 1906; Pass Creek would be the oldest standing bridge in Oregon. Drift Creek was constructed in 1914. The hand-hewn structural timbers may date from the 1876 bridge, which would make the timbers the oldest lumber in use.
The 61-foot Howe truss bridge was relocated in 1987. The bridge is nestled in a beautiful park behind the city library.
