Closed Bridge

Ritner Creek Covered Bridge is closed to traffic which provides the gift of time. Time to capture images and the construction of covered bridges. Pack a lunch or fill your thermos and plan to stay awhile. Locals appear to bring their four-legged friends for the swimming hole below the neighbor bridge.

According to the 1985 ODOT images, the covered bridge featured a squared portal to allow for larger loads. The current structure has the original rounded portals.
