Stayton-Jordan Covered Bridge
The Stayton-Jordan Covered Bridge is an example of a community coming together to save a piece of history. In 2023, Stayton-Jordan is a pedestrian bridge in the heart of Stayton, Oregon.

The original Jordan Covered Bridge was built in 1937. It was dismanted in 1985 and stored in Stayton.
The Jordan bridge burned in December of 1994. The community understood the importance of the covered bridge and ensured it was rebuilt. They completed their work in September of 1998.

The 90-foot Howe truss bridge with open sides is a replica of the original bridge. Jordan Covered Bridge was one of four bridges which spanned Thomas Creek. Gilkey, Hannah and Shimanek remain in their original locations. Hannah has the most amazing swimming hole.
