Stewart Covered Bridge

Stewart Covered Bridge is located in Lane County. The bridge was bypassed in 1987 and the south approach was removed. It earned a spot on the National Historic Register in 1979.

Stewart Covered Bridge is “mothballed” (2013, p. 138). Sadly, this beauty suffered from flood and snow damage. In 1925, there were 400 covered bridges in Oregon. There are approximately 52 remaining covered bridges. I hope Stewart Covered Bridge can be restored at least for pedestrian use.
